This one was such a fun wedding to cover. Kat & Oscar know how to have a good time – always cracking jokes and pulling silly faces. I think a few photographers would have wanted them to be serious for the formal pics but for my candid approach I loved it. I got all the smiles and jokes but also those really special intimate moments that are so fleeting on a wedding day – with all the prep and guests to deal with.
We started with bride and groom prep at the Grand Hyatt in HK. Kat & Kat (her maid of honour – not confusing at all!) getting ready in the girls room and Oscar and the boys in theirs. I especially love the boys attempts at ironing that you can see below!
The ceremony and reception was held at Crown Wine Cellars. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and former WWII bunker. Gone are its days of the blackout and it’s a lovely intimate venue with great natural light in the ceremony room. Afterwards to grabbed some pics on Deepwater Bay beach and then headed back for the reception and some cracking speeches rounded off a perfect day.
At the end of the day …man was I exhausted but also well pleased with how it went. A great wedding day filled with fun, laughter …and lots of wine! Enjoy the pics below…
